The Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Embassy in Kuala Lumpur announces an open, competitive opportunity for alumni of U.S. government exchange programs to propose projects that expand the impact of America's investment in their professional development. OPTION 1: General AEIF Grants ($5,000-$35,000) supports Malaysian alumni who design and implement practical, results-oriented initiatives that advance U.S. policy priorities and promote American interests. OPTION 2: The AEIF Borneo Alumni Reunion 2026 (Up to $100,000) is a tri-national summit that will transform our alumni across Borneo (Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei) into a powerful network amplifying America's soft power reach. Freedom250: All successful AEIF Malaysia 2026 proposals must clearly celebrate and promote the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America (Freedom250) and align with the Administration's key goals: making America safer, strengthening our nation, expanding our prosperity, and defending freedom of speech.
