Description

The US Geological Survey (USGS) is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner to conduct research on the timing and trends of snowmelt and associations with wet slab avalanche occurrence. USGS seeks research to investigate patterns of snowmelt onset and duration across different elevations and wildfire disturbance areas, and to utilize advanced modeling tools and empirical data to study how these patterns have evolved over time as well as future trends.

Eligibility

This financial assistance opportunity is being issued under a Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Units (CESU) Program. CESU"s are partnerships that provide research, technical assistance, and education. Eligible recipients must be a participating partner of the Rocky Mountain Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU).
